Although it has been sent a formal letter to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) still hoping there is real action on the plan of burning the Koran by groups Dove World Outreach Center, the leadership of Terry Jones.
This was revealed by President SBY in his speech addressed to all citizens of the world, delivered in the middle of the page State Palace in Central Jakarta, Friday (10/09/2010).
"We are all, without exception, have committed to maintain tolerance among religious believers. Terry Jones plan to burn the Koran, not only hurt Muslims but the whole religious community. I am asking the U.S. Government to mecegah was immoral," Yudhoyono said when delivering his speech in English .
United Nations, he added, should also take steps to plan Terry Jones. The plan is feared could create a horizontal conflict.
"Indonesia calls upon all the world in order not to be provoked issues that could lead to conflict that could destroy religious harmony," he asserted.
